This is the 11th Annual Junior Hockey Placement Showcase (JPS).  JPS is among the oldest running hockey showcases in the Western United States.

New this Year: JPS has partnered with the Western States Hockey League (WSHL) to host the 1st ever WSHL - JPS Showcase Combine and Draft for Junior Aged Players.  WSHL teams attending JPS will hold a showcase draft of players attending.

Who should attend:  JPS is a great opportunity to get noticed for your skills and to further your career in hockey. In attendance will be 50-60 Hockey Coaches/General Managers representing Jr. A (US and Canada), Prep Schools, Midget AA/AAA and Colleges (Division I and Division III). The exposure from this showcase gives the participants a great experience along with excellent opportunities to be seen by numerous hockey coaches and scouts.

With exposure from JPS along with our Showcase Directors' contacts a large majority of the participants have been offered positions in a higher level of hockey. According to Lantz, attending JPS is like attending over 60 individual hockey camps, thus saving money and yet maximizing player's exposure! Over 50% of our registrant hosts were offered a position to play at a “higher level and/or Juniors and NOW with the WSHL Partnership this promises to expand player placement significantly”.

You and your parents will gain information and knowledge about the various hockey programs in attendance through our seminars along with information regarding NCAA rules, clearing house and recruitment for your player. Coaches, GM's, and Scouts in attendance will participate in the seminars and will be able to give you information on their programs along with answers to any questions you may have.

JPS will provide specialized/individual goalie instruction.

Scott Johnson, (Former) University of Alaska/Anchorage Goalie Coach & current assistant coach/goaltenders with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the NAHL, will be in-charge of this year's Goalie Sessions. Coach Johnson is also Alaska's USAH Goalie Coach-in-Chief and brings a wealth of information and skill to the Showcase.

Scott Stein - Parent (Colorado)
"I want to express my gratitude for the opportunities the JPS showcase opened for my son.  We have participated in many showcases that advertise large lists of scouts but most are consolidated lists from multiple years and few deliver anything close to what is on their web sites.  JPS however is different.  From the moment we entered the arena it was obvious that we were in the right place, there were scouts in every direction.  As newcomers to Junior hockey the seminars were real eye openers which definitely helped us understand fact versus fiction.

Three words come to mind; Organized, Efficient and Effective.  After three days my son had been contacted by a dozen coaches or scouts from several leagues across the nation.  Within a week a dozen more had contacted us by e-mail or phone.  Within a week of that he was offered 3 separate contracts for the upcoming season.  At 16 years old he had his choice to play tier II Canadian hockey, WSHL, North American League hockey, USPHL, MNJHL and the list goes on.  By far the best showcase we experienced in three years of the showcase circuits.

Thank you JPS for exposing my son"

George Gwozdecky (Former) Head Hockey Coach, University of Denver
“At the University of Denver we are proud that 33% of our hockey team is comprised of players from the state of Colorado and therefore I am supportive of any opportunity that gives young hockey players from our state a chance to develop and received exposure to the Junior A hockey coaches as well as college hockey programs."

Tim Kihle - Parent (N. Dakota)
“I just wanted to pass along to you my sincere thanks for putting on a showcase that was all that it said it would be. My son, Zach, spoke with several different organizations. My son went to other showcases and they didn’t even compare to the one you just ran. The talent wasn’t close nor was the presence of all the different organizations. Zach got on the “radar” of several teams and that’s all we could ask for - a showcase that actually did what it promoted. Thanks again for a well run event and I look forward to Zach attending in the future.”

Kevin Hartzell (Former) GM/Head Hockey Coach Sioux Falls Stampede USHL
"JPS is one of the top exposure camps for juniors, prep, midget and college scouts. We will enjoy coming out and feel it is very worthwhile.”

Tyler Fleck, Head Coach, WSHL's Oklahoma City Blazers
“JPS was the first showcase our franchise attended. Our first signing came as a result. It is a very well organized and well run camp that allowed us to familiarize ourselves with top notch talent from across the country. Now, after several years, JPS continues to be one of the top showcases we attend. Looking forward to another camp!"

Joe Bonnett Assistant Coach Colorado College
"JPS and it's Directors are motivated to develop and expose local and non-traditional hockey players to Midget AAA, Junior and NCAA Hockey. This camp is the first step.”

Paul DePuydt - Head Coach Boulder Jr. Bison - WSHL
"The JPS Showcase is a great opportunity for midget and junior aged players to get exposed to Junior A and college coaches. Our organization utilizes the showcase to identify talent for the upcoming season as well as potential recruits for future seasons."

Luke Salazar (Former) Division I player - Denver University
“Brad Buetow, (JPS Consultant) who was my midget coach, along with participating in JPS was very instrumental in getting me seen and having Denver University (Division I) offer me a spot on their team.”

Robert Powell - (Former) Head Coach Arizona Redhawks Jr A. Hockey Club - WSHL
"I have been coming to the JPS Showcase for past five seasons, it is a great way to start off my recruiting season, There are a large number of players, the showcase is set up well, and the exposure of players to Coaches and Scouts is 2nd to none. I look forward to this Showcase every summer."

John Marks Head Coach/GM Fargo Force (USHL)
“Excellent Showcase! JPS exposure showcase really puts kids on the radar for future hockey opportunities. I will be attending it along with Other USHL coaches.”

Pete Sauer, (Former) Head Coach/GM Aberdeen Wings (NAHL)
“Our organization has attended JPS for several years and will continue to. We have recruited many players from JPS, along with several other NAHL teams.

Scott Allegrini - Valencia Flyers Junior A Hockey - WSHL
The JPS showcase is a great resource for our team in finding prospective players. It's high level of talent and competition, well organized format and the large number of attendees makes it one of the better showcases we attend each year.

Jeff Heimel Head Coach/GM Great Falls Americans – AWHL
